Jaguar I-Pace SUV 294kW EV400 HSE 90kWh Auto [11kW Charger] 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
A really great car, completely ruined by poor infotainment, and shocking support. When the issues first arose I contacted JLR via their website (during lockdown), left an online description of the issues, within 12 hours a lady called me, asking if I was interested in buying a new i-pace, when I told them I already had the car, they weren't interested, support was a different department and said somebody would get in touch...NOTHING, they have never tried to contact me, or resolve the issues. The car has had 2 software updates so far, which have no effect, if you can actually get them to load, it has had countless resets, nothing helps. I just don't expect it to ever work, and feel pleasantly surprised when something works as it should. What does worry me, is the thought that most of the car is controlled by processors, if the emergency breaking system or air bags which I don't usually use are as bad as the systems I do regularly try to use, then the car is a potential danger....
How reliable do you find the car?
No serious issues, but amazingly annoying continuing issue of an amnesiac car... It forgets everything, it's infotainment system and user interface is incredibly buggy, I just hope the rest of the software isn't equally poor...Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
It's lovely to drive, really quick pickup, smooth & comfortable. But you need to know where your going because the SATNAV will probably be on the fritz, and you will need to sing to yourself, as it will have forgotten what stations you were listening to, or which phone to connect to...About their car
